In our contemporary society, the Adversary majors in three things: noise, hurry, and crowds. If he can keep us engaged in muchness, manyness, and madness, he will feel satisfied. Take the time to hear from God first, so that your way align with God’s way, and not the Adversary.
The discipline of meditation is mentioned fifty-eight times by the authors of Scripture. The words of meditation have various meanings: listening to God’s word, reflecting on God’s works, rehearsing God’s deeds, reflecting on God’s law, and more. The purpose is to create a change in behavior as a result of communing with the one and living God. Repentance and obedience are the outcome of biblical understanding of the Spiritual Displine of Meditation.
Christian meditation is the ability to hear God’s voice and obey his word.
We who have dedicated our lives to become followers of Jesus knows that he desires to eat the Last Super (Feast of Unleavened Bread) with us. He desires that before we eat the Lord's Super, we should take the time to renew our relationship with our brother or sister, then eat the Last Super and to continue “To Do This In Remembrance Of Me” in the inner sanctuary of our heart. The reason for this is to prepare us to stand before the Heavenly Father.
The inner sanctuary of our heart is transforming our inner personality. We cannot remain the same after the Divine Fire of God consume everything within us that is impure. Our ever-present Teacher will always lead us into peace, joy, and righteousness in the Holy Spirit. Everything that is not pleasing to God we will have to let go. Not because we “have to” but because we “want to.” Because our desires will be to conform to his way.
Unfortunately, we as human, are content to have the Word of God secondhand. We want a mediator, a priest, a pastor, a go-between to pray for us and not pray or study for ourselves. In this way we don’t need to go to God for ourselves. Such an approach saves us from the need to change, because to be in the presence of God mean to Repent and not commit that Sin anymore.
