In the society of our world today, we will be surprised if we paid attention to the amount of stress that we endure every day. We continue to endure stress, stress, and more stress. We endure so much stress that we become borderline traumatized. We have been enduring so much stress and trauma for so long that we believe it's normal. We believe that we suppose to be stressed out because the feeling of being stressed out is all that we could remember. We don't remember how it feel not to be stressed out. The words stress free is not a part of our vocabulary.
The Spiritual Discipline of Meditation is a tool that we can add into our Spiritual Toolbox to help us experience God for ourselves. Before we can reach that level, first we will have to be able to feel our own body. We have to be able to feel our own stress. We have to be able to feel our own trauma. And we have to be able to feel our own Spirit.
The words Reflection, Contemplation, and Meditation have been interchangeably used as a form of Soul Searching in understanding how a group or individuals might feel about a set of circumstances or events that might have occurred in the past. It will be beneficiary for us to understand the difference in these words.
